Jeffrey Alumbaugh is an American graphic art painter best known for his hand-painted stage backdrops for many popular acts in the live music industry. His paintings have been seen on thousands of concert stages around the world with famous bands including numerous paintings appearing on national television shows over the past 12 years.

Graduating from William C. Hinkley High School in 1985 with years of art education behind him, Jeffrey attended old fashioned hands-on graphic art courses at Platt College and Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, scoring perfect marks throughout the curriculums. In the early 1990s he moved to Las Vegas to pursue the initial stage of becoming a professional artist, proudly and honorably under the wing of one of the greatest entertainment billboard artist in the United States.

In 1996, and now loaded with a greater amount of experience, Jeffrey started the Fastway Sign Studio in Denver and was routinely commissioned to paint large graphics for national corporations and the U.S. Government, including the Air Force Falcons and the United States Postal Service.

In 2006, his love for music and the desire to share his artwork with the world led to the amazing opportunity to work with chart topping bands and musicians on tour. Realizing the importance of this higher artistic exposure, he soon closed Fastway Sign Studio and formed Rock City Backdrops, in which he personally painted over 600 works for live performances of all sizes. His paintings have also appeared on national television programs including VH1-Behind the Music, TruTV-Full Throttle Saloon, the Academy of Country Music ACM Sessions, The Big Interview with Dan Rather, Rock and Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar and AXS TV.

In 2018, Jeffrey took the next step on his path and sold Rock City Backdrops in order for him to paint exclusively for high profile bands, under his personal name as an independent artist, and pursue his book titled ‘It’s the Art of the Path; A Reality Trip For Spellbound Creatives’. Written as a reflection of the journey he diligently created and followed, it’s purpose is a unification of experience, advice, thoughts, art and lifestyle to be shared with the intentions of making a difference in the readers’ perspectives, lives and exploration into their own creative journeys. The book is expected to be completed in 2025.
